Update on all University-related domestic and international travel during the COVID-19 pandemic:
JULY 22, 2021:The International Student Services office and the EOU Executive Leadership Team recognizes and fully supports the enriching and meaningful academic opportunities students receive when they participate in study abroad programs, including short term learning experiences with EOU faculty. The International Student Services office and the EOU Executive Leadership Team continues to monitor and evaluate the COVID-19 situations around the world and will continue to consult with local/regional/national/global health authorities for guidance.
Starting in the Summer 2021 term, EOU will resume processing a student’s application to Study Abroad and provide support services to assist students navigate the pre-departure process. Based on information gathered and presented to the EOU’s Executive Leadership Team at the end of the Spring 2021 term, international travel restrictions as it relates to Study Abroad programs that were put in place during the Fall 2020 term have been lifted. The International Student Services office and the Executive Leadership Team will continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation around the world and will evaluate student requests/applications for Study Abroad on a case-by-case basis. This case-by-case review would include, but will not be limited to, meeting the Study Abroad affiliate and the student to ensure all participants understand the risk involved in traveling internationally during the COVID-19 pandemic.
